Floor plans, racks, and a tidier account

0.0.11 put a proper floor plan in the room, then 0.0.12 finished the editing pass and cleaned up the account page. This recap covers that stretch since the last notes (named hordes and in-app feedback).

Floor plans in feet

Rooms now have a width and depth in feet. The map is a square, zoomable, pannable top-down view of that room — 1:1, filling the column, with rulers and a one-foot grid.

  • Positions and sizes snap to a quarter foot (3").
  • Sizes on each fixture read like 3'x5'9".
  • Scroll to zoom, drag empty space to pan. The view stays square and does not letterbox the floor.

Bins, tables, and racks

A room is no longer just a pile of bins.

  • Bins and tables still live on the floor.
  • Racks are multi-level: set the shelf count and bins per shelf. Machines can sit on a shelf or in a bin.
  • Design mode adds fixtures from a + overlay on the map (Add Bin, Add Table, Add Rack).
  • Every fixture has duplicate and trash controls on it. Duplicate copies the footprint. Delete (and the Delete key) removes the selected item.
  • Shift-click or Shift/Ctrl-drag a box to select several, then drag them together. Empty-space drag still pans unless you hold Shift or Ctrl.

Light theme finally matches the rest of the app — paper floor, readable rulers, no black chrome.

Account

The profile is tabbed: Profile (name, photo, your one friend invite) and Security (password, authenticator, passkeys, connected sign-in).

  • Sign out sits at the top of the page.
  • Linked Google or Apple accounts can be unlinked. RetroTracker will not let you drop the last way in — set a password or a passkey first.
  • Horde collaborator invites still only work for people who already have an account. Your friend invite remains one-use and is not regenerated.
  • Google profile photos can land as a local avatar.

Install and polish

  • CRT logo on the home screen, splash, and offline page.
  • Install as a PWA; iPhone gets a short home-screen hint.
  • Branded 4xx and 5xx pages instead of a raw dump.
  • Forms ignore a second Save click, and out-of-range years, prices, quantities, and room sizes are rejected instead of 500ing.
